Thank you for your interest in GGO. We will be hiring for the following AmeriCorps VISTA opportunities starting in October 2024:


Grant Coordinator VISTA (Chicago)

Build the capacity of GGO by: (1) redeveloping GGO’s grant database to be more user friendly, (2) discover and apply for applicable grants, and (3) develop and implement a plan to establish a diverse revenue stream and develop a donor database.

Programming & Development Coordinator VISTA (Chicago)

Build the capacity of GGO by (1) recruiting and scheduling university student volunteers as well as communicating directly with the university student executive boards at each school chapter, and (2) recruiting new partner universities and developing a handbook on creating a new university chapter.

Social Media & Public Relations VISTA (Chicago)

Help GGO secure financial stability by building community awareness through: (1) writing press releases, developing press kits, designing media materials, and conducting outreach specific to Chicago; (2) securing media partnerships and developing new community and individual partnerships to create new streams of revenue and outreach protocols; and (3) using existing donor information to create an outreach history database for future GGO employees.

St. Louis Based VISTA Opportunities:
